Seoul form and stats

Seoul have only played one K-League 1 game here so far, a win. Last season their home statistics were 0 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats from 3 matches.

Prior to that was the away defeat visiting Seongnam (0-1).

The hosts are modest favourites in this match, with the bookmakers estimating the chance of a home win at about 50% +- five percent. It's interesting to look at how Seoul have performed under similar circumstances, so here are some numbers: When modest favourites like this (we found nine games) they have won five times, drawn three and lost one.

There will be little rest for Seoul after this match as they are travelling to Suwon Bluewings for a K-League 1 game in only four days.

Early season league goal statistics from Seoul's 1 home game: 3 goals, 0 conceded.

Gwangju form and stats

Things could have gone better for Gwangju in their K-League 1 away matches, but 3 points from 2 games is all right.

Home advantage was not enough for Gwangju in their previous game, as they lost their K-League 1-match, hosting Jeonbuk Motors, 0-2. Before that one, a nice away victory 4-1 at Daegu.

Gwangju are the outsiders in this one, but not by much. Their performance in similar games (being the away team and moderate outsiders) is four wins, one draw and four defeats. From a total of nine matches.

The schedule is very tough for Gwangju now as they have to travel again shortly after this match. A K-League 1 game at Jeju United is waiting in only three days.

As for goals scored and conceded in the league games away so far, Gwangju has managed 4 goals and let in 2 from 2 matches.

Head 2 Head

Head-to-head totals (for the last ten meetings): Seoul won seven games, two matches ended with a draw and Gwangju has one win. Over 2,5 goals / under 2,5 goals: seven / three
