Competition: Finland Ykkonen
Competition: Wed 16.September
Match begins: 15:30 (UTC)
Venue: Arto Tolsa Areena (4780 seats)

There should be a significant difference in quality between these teams based on table positions so far, with KTP leading Gnistan by 19 points.

There’s little time for restitution or working hard at the training pitch these days, with both teams having played their last game less than four days ago.

One slightly interesting match fact is that this game is played on grass and that the visiting Gnistan have a different surface at their stadium (artifical turf). The impact of this is hard to measure exactly, but the visitors stats on grass is 6-6-13 (win-draw-loss) from 25 matches.

KTP form and stats

The story so far in the Ykkonen for KTP, who have the most clean sheets (8) in Ykkonen, at their home stadium (Arto Tolsa Areena) is 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat.

Nothing to worry about in defence for KTP, as their goalkeeper Anton Lepola has completely shut out the opponents for 203 minutes in the Ykkonen.

A strong away win for KTP against MuSa the last match, as D. Ramadingaye, M. Paavola, M. Ogungbaro, A. Mäkijärvi and Mika (2) were on target. Before that game, the 4-0 home victory against SJK Akatemia.

As mentioned above, KTP "killed" MuSa in their previous game. They need to reset completely for this one and beware of complacency.

KTP are believed to win this game, given a winning chance of about 70% by the bookmakers. We have checked our records for their performance in similar circumstances and found four matches and the win/draw/lost stats: Won three, drew one and lost zero.

There's a new game coming up fairly quickly for KTP as they are travelling to their away game against MP in the Ykkonen. That match is four days after this one.

With an average of more than two goals per home game in the league (12 in 6 games), KTP's attacking play is working. KTP's goalkeeper has had to pick the ball out of their own net 6 times. For more goal stats, check the Statistics tab above.

Gnistan form and stats

There's been little loot from Gnistan's travels as they have only collected 3 points from 7 away games in the Ykkonen. Gnistan, who have the most conceded goals (20) away in Ykkonen, only have 0 wins to counter their 4 defeats and 3 draws.

B. Kouyate scored in Gnistan's previous match, the home game against Kajaani that ended 1-0. Ahead of that match was the away draw versus Jaro that ended 2-2.

We have done a similar check as we did with the hometeam, looking up recent matches where Gnistan played away with similar odds. This revealed seven games. The visitors overcame the odds to win one time, one were draw and the home team won as expected five times.

A new game in only four days for Gnistan, the Ykkonen home match versus MuSa. Busy days.

Gnistan have scored 8 goals on their travels this season, from 7 away games in the league. Gnistan are struggling defensively in their away games, having conceded 8 goals in these matches.
