Competition: Europe Champions League
Competition: Tue 25.Jul
Match begins: 19:00 (UTC)

The first of two encounters in the Champions League 2nd Qualifying Round, as the hometeam Zrinjski will try to edge Slovan Bratislava in their own ballpark.

Slovan Bratislava have a very long trip to this away game, as there's more than 900 kilometers in distance to cover. This could prove a challenge, at least for the supporters.

Zrinjski and Slovan Bratislava should both be in good shape for this meeting, as there's been enough days for both of them to train and rest since their last matches.

Zrinjski form and stats

This is not the first game this season in the Champions League for Zrinjski, as the manager Rendulić led his troops to eliminate Banants, and reach the 2nd Qualifying Round. Zrinjski was eliminated in the 1st qualifying round last season in the Champions League. Sheriff was too strong.

Zrinjski have been very solid at home in the Premier Liga so far, with 43 points collected from 17 matches (14-1-2). This has contributed greatly to their 1st position in the table.

Zrinjski's previous fixture was also a home event, the defeat 2-3 versus Banants (in Champions League).

Before that one, a nice away win at Banants. A Champions League match.

Some members of the home team might already be thinking of their next match, the Premier Liga game versus Posusje in only three days. This game is also played here.

Zrinjski can score goals in their home matches. After 17 league matches they have found the net 42 times. Zrinjski have only conceded 11 from their league home games. For more goal stats, check the Statistics tab above.

Slovan Bratislava form and stats

The traveling awayteam has defeated Swift Hesperange in order to reach 2nd qualifying round of Champions League. Slovan Bratislava was sent out of Champions League in the 2nd qualifying round last season, when Ferencvaros turned out to be too strong.

Two away matches in a row for Slovan Bratislava, whose coach Weiss could celebrate last time after the Champions League win against Swift Hesperange. Goalkeeper Borjan got the top player rating of the team with 8.82/10. Borjan saved a penalty and topped it up with a clean sheet.

A 1-1 in a home match in the Champions League before that, facing Swift Hesperange. The team were unhappy with the result, being big pre-match favourites.

The visitors will be packing their bags again in only four days as another away game awaits: The Super Liga trip to FK Kosice.
