Slovan Bratislava form and stats

This is not the first game this season in the Champions League for Bratislava, as the manager V. Weiss led his troops to eliminate Shamrock Rovers, and reach the 2nd Qualifying Round. Last season their Champions League adventure ended in the 1st qualifying round.

In their previous game, the manager V. Weiss led his Bratislava to a defeat in the Champions League match away at Shamrock Rovers. The manager is hoping to put things right immediately here at Štadión Tehelné pole.

Previous to that game, a Champions League home match hosting Shamrock Rovers in a game that was won 2-0.

Young Boys form and stats

Young's mission in Champions League last season failed in the 3rd qualifying round.

The away team have been very comfortable on their travels so far, racking up 11 wins, 6 draws and only 1 loss in the Super League. The fact that Young have won four matches in a row should scare the hosts and makes this contest more interesting.

Young Boys play their second away game in a row, but can be confident going into this one after the 4-2 victory visiting Lausanne Sport. Midfield player Michel Aebischer was the top player of the team with a match rating of 7.42/10. Aebischer scored one goal, dribled passed the opponent 1 of 1 times and had 54 successful passes (of 58 total). As you can tell from the result, the match against Lausanne Sport was as crazy as a clown in a village circus. Great fun for the neutral supporter with 6 goals, will the fun continue today?

Preceding that game was the away Super League victory against Lausanne Sport with the score of 4-2.

Young has another fixture away, a Super League game, against Luzern in just four days. A tough schedule for the visitors!

Young have scored more than twice on average per away game (in the league), an impressive attacking display. They have 36 goals from 18 away matches. Young Boys are defending well in their away games, having conceded only 15 times in 18 matches. For more goal statistics, check out the Statistics tab above.
