Manchester City was sent out of Champions League in the quarter-finals last season.

As the visiting team in Premier League matches, Manchester City have produced an overall stat of 2-2-1 so far. When we have look at the Champions League statistics, we find 4W-0D-0L. This is both home and away.

The supporters enjoyed Manchester's previous game versus Burnley, a Premier League 5-0 win played at home. Prior to that result Manchester City won their away game at Olympiakos Piraeus in the Champions League. The scoreline was 1-0.

As you can tell from the results above, Manchester was very dominant against Burnley, winning the match with a scoreline that even the finest fortune teller couldn't predict. 5-0 (!) with Ferrán Torres, Benjamin Mendy and Riyad Mahrez (3) providing the goals. It's hard not to mention Riyad Mahrez's lethal finishing against Burnley. three goals were a big reason for the important victory.

A quick return to home after this game, as Manchester City are hosting Fulham in the Premier League only four days away.

Manchester have scored 6 goals on their travels this season, from 5 away games in the league. As opposed to that, Manchester have seen the ball go into their own net 5 times on the road.

The UEFA Champions League is the major international club football tournament in Europe. The competition begins already in late June and lasts for almost a year, ending with the final played in late May or early June. After several qualifying rounds the group stage is where the “true” Champions League begins for many viewers. Eight groups with four teams each battle through six rounds to qualify for the knock-out phase. Then a round of 16, quarterfinals and then semifinals needs to be won before a place in the final is secured.
