There haven't been much time to rest for the hosts, as they played a Super Cup match only four days ago. Thankfully the previous game, versus Rakow Czestochowa, was also a home game here at Stadion Miejski Legii Warszawa im. Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego. The away team is better rested.

Everyone involved with the away team has to get their travel gear ready for this match as there's a whopping 900 kilometers to cover before arriving at the match.

Legia Warszawa form and stats

This is not the first game this season in the Champions League for Legia Warszawa, as the manager C. Michniewicz led his troops to eliminate Bodø / Glimt, and reach the 2nd Qualifying Round. Warszawa participated in Champions League the last season, where they reached the 2nd qualifying round.

Legia Warszawa are steadily winning Ekstraklasa games and points here at Stadion Miejski Legii Warszawa im. Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego. 9 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats is the summary from 15 games. Warszawa haven’t lost a league-game in 15 attempts regardless of arena, a great achievement. Their last loss was the fixture versus Podbeskidzie, 171 days ago.

Warszawa are confident in defense, having played 637 minutes without conceding a goal in the league.

A draw after 90 minutes last time out for Warszawa, who played 1-1 against Rakow Czestochowa. That match was also played at this venue (Stadion Miejski Legii Warszawa im. Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego). The hometeam coach C. Michniewicz made a successful contribution in the game against Rakow Czestochowa, bringing on M. Emreli who scored the equalizer in the 1-1 draw.

Before that game, the 2-0 home victory against Bodø / Glimt.

Some members of the home team might already be thinking of their next match, the Ekstraklasa game versus Wisla Plock in only three days. This game is also played here at Stadion Miejski Legii Warszawa im. Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego.

The Warszawa fans have had their share of opportunities to cheer home goals this season, having seen 29 goals in 15 league matches. Warszawa's goalkeeper has had to pick the ball out of their own net 19 times. For more goal stats, check the Statistics tab above.

Flora form and stats

The traveling awayteam has defeated Hibernians in order to reach 2nd qualifying round of Champions League. They also participated in Champions League last season. This ended in the 1st qualifying round.

Rock solid. That's the only way to describe the travels of Flora so far, with 7-1-0 (wins-draws-losses) so far. Those are Meistriliiga statistics. In general it has been a productive period now for Flora as they haven't lost any of their last 33 games.

Flora play their second away game in a row, but can be confident going into this one after the 4-0 victory visiting Vaprus. As you can tell from the results above, Flora was very dominant against Vaprus, winning the match with a scoreline that even the finest fortune teller couldn't predict. 4-0 (!) with S. Zenjov, M. Poom, H. Välja and D. Kuraksin providing the goals.

Preceding that game was the away Champions League victory against Hibernians with the score of 3-0.

Flora are scoring goals for fun in their league games away this season, having clocked up more than three goals per game on average (24 goals from 8 away games). It's not easy to score on Flora as they have only conceded 7 goals from these away games.

The UEFA Champions League is the major international club football tournament in Europe. The competition begins already in late June and lasts for almost a year, ending with the final played in late May or early June. After several qualifying rounds the group stage is where the “true” Champions League begins for many viewers. Eight groups with four teams each battle through six rounds to qualify for the knock-out phase. Then a round of 16, quarterfinals and then semifinals needs to be won before a place in the final is secured.
