Champions League betting and spectator preview: Celtic and Real Madrid meet at Celtic Park to measure strength and learn who makes it to the next stage.

Real Madrid have a very long trip to this away game, as there's more than 2300 kilometers in distance to cover. This could prove a challenge, at least for the supporters.

There’s little time for restitution or working hard at the training pitch these days, with both teams having played their last game less than four days ago.

Celtic form and stats

Last season, Celtic's Champions League journey ended in the 2nd qualifying round against Midtjylland.

Celtic's last game was hosting Rangers and winning 4-0. As indicated by the result mentioned above, Celtic played a great game against Rangers and beat them comfortably. Expectations are high for this one. The striker Abada edged out all the other footballers in that match and got a match rating of 8.53 out of 10. Abada scored two goals, hit two key passes and dribled past the opponent 1 of 2 times.

Before that game, a fine away win at Ross County. A League Cup game.

The match schedule is unforgiving for Celtic as they have a new game in only four days, a Premiership match thankfully also at home. Livingston are visiting.

Real Madrid form and stats

They also participated in Champions League last season. This ended in the semi-finals.

Real Madrid are yet to lose a point on their La Liga travels this season with 3 wins from 3 away games.

Rodrygo and Júnior scored in Real Madrid's previous match, the home game against Real Betis that ended 2-1. Which player has bagged at least one goal three matches in a row for the away team? The answer is Júnior and that is impressive! Midfield player Tchouaméni was the top player of the team with a match rating of 8.14/10. Tchouaméni hit one key pass, dribled past the opponent 1 of 2 times and had 56 successful passes (of 63 total).

Before that one, a nice away victory 3-1 at Espanyol.

As for goals scored and conceded in the league games away so far, Real Madrid has managed 9 goals and let in 3 from 3 matches.

The UEFA Champions League is the major international club football tournament in Europe. The competition begins already in late June and lasts for almost a year, ending with the final played in late May or early June. After several qualifying rounds the group stage is where the “true” Champions League begins for many viewers. Eight groups with four teams each battle through six rounds to qualify for the knock-out phase. Then a round of 16, quarterfinals and then semifinals needs to be won before a place in the final is secured.
