Western United form and stats

There's been little loot from Western United's travels as they have only collected 7 points from 11 away games in the A-League. Western United only have 2 wins to counter their 8 defeats and 1 draw. It's looking increasingly bleak for Western who now has to deal with a four game losing streak. Adelaide United was the last time a defeat was avoided.

Western United aren't clicking offensively as they have gone 300 league minutes without a goal. L. Wales was the last player to find the net.

Western might have something to prove in this game as they lost at home in their previous match. Sydney proved too strong as Western United slumped to a 0-1 defeat in front of their own fans at Whitten Oval. Ryan Scott (goalkeeper) was the best performer with a rating of 9.23. Scott stopped the opponent with eleven saves. It's a bit worrying for Western that their goalkeeper Ryan Scott made eleven saves in the Sydney game last time out, but still couldn't prevent the loss.

Preceding that game, the 0-3 loss visiting Perth Glory's place.

We have checked recent matches where Western have had similar odds to win. Win-draw-lose statistics from those six games were zero victories, one draw and five defeats.

The visiting Western have scored more than one goal per away game in the league so far. The grand total is 12 goals from 11 games. It's been trouble in front of goal recently, as only 1 of these goals has been scored in their last three away matches. Western have conceded 25 goals in these games.

The A-League is the top level of the Australian football league system. Seasons run from October to May. Ten teams play a regular season of 27 fixtures to create a league table winner and the highest placed teams qualify for a playoff. The league winner is called the “premier” while the playoff winner is the “champion”. There is no set system for relegation, unlike most leagues in the world.
