Match begins: 19:00 (UTC)
Venue: Estadio Santiago Bernabéu (81044 seats)

There's no exiting this stadium without a winner tonight as it's the second leg of the Champions League Quarter-finals meeting between Real Madrid and Chelsea. Game on!

Chelsea have a very long trip to this away game, as there's more than 1700 kilometers in distance to cover. This could prove a challenge, at least for the supporters.

It's no vacation for neither Madrid nor Chelsea as both were in action only a few days ago. Expect some tired legs on the pitch and/or possibly some changes to the lineups.

Real Madrid form and stats

Real Madrid participated in Champions League the last season, where they reached the semi-finals and lost against Chelsea.

The home supporters can't complain about results here at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu as Real Madrid have scored 34 goals to get 37 points from 16 games. The overall stats in the La Liga are 11-4-1 (wins-draws-losses). On the other hand, in the Champions League, Real Madrid has performed like this (both home and away): 7 wins, 0 draws and 2 losses.

The Real Madrid supporters enjoyed the previous game, watching their team host Getafe and win 2-0. Vázquez, defender, was given a rating of 8.33/10 in that game, top of the team. Vázquez scored one goal, hit three key passes and won 3 of 4 duels.

The bookmakers consider this a fairly even contest. One could say only the home advantage separates the teams. It could be relevant to look at how Real Madrid have performed in matches similar to this (as small favourites). Our database has found seven matches with the results: Won five, drawn one and lost one.

The Madrid manager Ancelotti has got the team scoring with 34 from 16 home games in the league. From these home matches, Real Madrid have conceded only 13 goals.

Chelsea form and stats

Nothing but glory last season for Chelsea, as they won the Champions League.

Chelsea's travelling support has been rewarded for their time and money so far this season, having witnessed Chelsea collect 36 points from their 16 away matches in the Premier League. 11 victories and 3 draws have created these points (and only 2 defeats). Total Champions League statistics for Chelsea: 6 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses.

Chelsea play their second away game in a row, but can be confident going into this one after the 6-0 victory visiting Southampton. As you can tell from the results above, Chelsea was very dominant against Southampton, winning the match with a scoreline that even the finest fortune teller couldn't predict. 6-0 (!) with Havertz, Alonso, Mount (2) and Werner (2) providing the goals. The 6-0 victory against Southampton could easily have been bigger as the victors made a valiant effort at breaking the goal posts, hitting them three times. Mount, attacking player, was the top performer on the team in that game, scoring a match rating of 9.42. Mount scored two goals, served one assist, hit one key pass and had 35 successful passes (of 42 total).
