National cups are something special for many teams and supporters. Today's match will decide whether it's VRI or AaB that keep their silverware dream alive.
It's no vacation for neither VRI nor AaB as both were in action only a few days ago. Expect some tired legs on the pitch and/or possibly some changes to the lineups.
VRI form and stats
Action has already taken place for VRI in Landspokal Cup as they have defeated Højslev IF to reach the 2nd Round. Last season, VRI's Landspokal Cup journey ended in the 1st round.A draw after 90 minutes last time out for VRI, who played 2-2 against Norresundby. That match was also played at this venue (Aalborg Portland Park).
Prior to that, an away loss at Odder in the Denmark Series Group 4.The manager Hyldgaard will start preparations for the next game as soon this is finished, as the hosts are going to AaB II in only three days.
AaB form and stats
The traveling awayteam has defeated Egen in order to reach 2nd round of Landspokal Cup. They also participated in Landspokal Cup last season. This ended in the final.AaB are happy with their away performances in the First Division so far, having secured two victories and one draw from their first three travels.
AaB won their last game, 3-1 versus Kolding IF played at home.
That result followed a home victory 3-0 versus Hillerød in the First Division.They concede less than a goal on average per away game (2 so far).
